Quartier des Pâquis (between the main station and the lake) is, for many, “the” place for a good night out: Restaurants/pubs/bars and a lot of fun.

Bains des Pâquis, about 5 minutes from the fountain. A good place to listen to live music, to stroll through food stalls, or for a dip in the lake.

Funny Horse is worth checking out; at rue de Berne 23 (red light district).

Mr. Pickwick at rue de Lausanne 80 is, of course, a real English pub. Cheers...!

Flanagan’s Irish Bar at Cheval-Blanc 4 and Mulligans Irish Pub at rue de Grenus 14 are two places to enjoy a Guinness in Irish ambience.

L’Usine, in place des Volontaires 4, is an alternative multicultural center (022 328 08 18) that offers a rich programme of concerts, theatre, dance, film projects, as well as several bars, an art gallery, production studios and more.

Post Café at rue de Berne 7 is a friendly and congenial place.

Auberge de Savièse (rue des Pâquis 20) is good for fondue and raclette !

De La Glycine Café/Restaurant at Rue de Montbrillant 21 is a chic, cool café/restaurant. Check it out.

Cité-Jardin Café/Restaurant at av. De Miremont 46 (Cité Universitaire).

Le Chat Noir, at Rue Vautier 13, is a legendary bar and concert hall located in Carouge. They regularly invite jazz bands, singers and rock and world music group
